Skip ahead to learn more about about Multiple Timers.
Say hello to Multiple Timers!
Keeping track of time can be a juggle—especially when you’re multitasking—so we’ve come up with a solution called Multiple Timers which is now live in your account!
With Multiple Timers you can run concurrent timers. Each timer is displayed on the right side of your screen—regardless of where you use Time Tracker.
Timers keep running even if you close your browser. Does your company pay for travel time? Start a timer at the office and stop it when you get home!
Don’t want to have more than one timer running at the same time? Just disable the “concurrent timers” feature in Admin > Settings > Time.
How it works
To start a timer, click “New Timer” from the create menu. Or, click the “Start New Timer” link from the Multiple Timer sidebar.
To launch the time entry form from a timer, click the pop-out icon shown in the example below.
Taking a lunch break? No problem. Just hit the Pause button and resume the timer when you return.
Once you stop a timer, you’ll see a Details button. Click this button if you would like to add more information to your timer, such as a client or a description.
To minimize the Multiple Timer sidebar, click the arrow at the top of the sidebar.
Not interested in concurrent timers? You can turn off concurrent timers on the Admin > Settings > Time screen.
If you disable concurrent timers, you can still use the Multi Timer sidebar—you’ll just be restricted from running more than one timer at any given time.
No more guesstimating, approximating, ‘imaginating’…or forgetting.
With Multiple Timers, you’ll be able to work on several projects simultaneously, while keeping an accurate handle on your time. (It’s finally possible—we’re excited too!)
Take it for a spin!
Multiple Timers is a default function in Time Tracker so there’s no need to enable it or turn it on. It’s already there…check it out now! As always, you can then convert timers into logged time entries to submit for approval.

Happy Multitasking!
Forgot to start the clock? IFTTT remembers for you.
You’re heading out the door from work for a well-deserved lunch break. You pull out your phone to pause your work timer when you realize something—you never started it that morning! You start mentally retracing your steps. When did I get in again? How long have I been working?
Sound familiar? I know it does for me.
Our eBillity team understands, and we’ve been preparing something just for you. Time Tracker now integrates with If This Then That (IFTTT) to automate your time tracking. Never worry about starting your timer again.
What is IFTTT?
IFTTT is an app that automatically completes repetitive tasks in response to specific events. For example, you can set up IFTTT to send you a notification if the weather channel says it will rain that day. Did you know the IFTTT app is free? 100%!
Or maybe you want your garage to open automatically when you pull into your driveway—set up IFTTT.
Even better things happen when Time Tracker and IFTTT are together. Start and stop timers automatically based on location or Wi-Fi signals, and send emails based on time entries.
Here are some more examples that you can use with Time Tracker.
- Start a timer when you connect to your office’s Wi-Fi.
- Start a timer for a customer when they call you.
- Email your admin when you start a timer.
- Use your imagination and create your own!
How does it work?
IFTTT connects to other smart devices or apps, such as Time Tracker. You can choose what tasks become automated by using ‘Applets’.
Applets are the brains of the operation. They are the set of If This, Then That instructions. They silence your phone when you’re in meetings instead of blaring ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.
Visit our page at IFTTT for even more Applets that we have created for you to use with your Time Tracker account. You can always be creative and make your own. Have fun with it!
How do I connect IFTTT with Time Tracker?
Set up your personalized Time Tracker Applets in IFTTT by following these simple steps.
- Download the IFTTT app to your phone or tablet.
- Create an IFTTT account.
- Search for Time Tracker or click here.
- Connect and log in.
Try connecting your smartphone or any of your fun gadgets with Time Tracker’s Applets through IFTTT and let us know how it goes!
